Vertical Grazing
Vertical grazing is another term for self-feed silage. Where the cows eat silage directly from the silage clamp. It is a cheap way to feed the cows and was very popular in the 60s and 70s. It has regained popularity recently due to increase machinery, fuel and running costs associated with other feeding methods.
